New Ulm Police

• Took a call from a 28-year-old New Ulm man who said his wife, a 29-year-old New Ulm woman, received a text message about a fraudulent $1,245.38 purchase on her debit card. The card was cancelled. A report was done for documentation.

• Took a report from a 79-year-old New Ulm man who said he heard a noise at his front door on the 800 block, Payne St. North. The man said he noticed an estimated $200 damage to a screen door.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Responded to an alarm at 4:07 a.m. at Freedom Valu Center, 400 Main St. W. Video footage of a male suspect taking several vaping devices valued at less than $100 was obtained. No building damage was reported. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.
