New Ulm Police
• Received a report at 11:06 a.m. Friday from a New Ulm woman who said she received emails and phone calls the past few days from an individual claiming to be with Geek Squad computer support. The woman said she bought $7,500 in gift cards and sent them to the caller. A report went to a police investigator.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 12th South and Broadway at 1:41 p.m. Friday. A 2016 GMC Acadia driven by Morgan Elizabeth Schmidt, 31, New Ulm and a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross driven by Emma Rose Weilage, 17, Sleepy Eye, were both northbound on Broadway, Weilage tried to turn left, swung wide to the right and hit the GMC. Damage was minor to the left rear of the GMC and moderate to the right front of the Toyota. Both drivers wore seat belts.
