New Ulm Police

• Responded to a burglary report at 12:40 p.m. Saturday on the 1000 block, German St. N. A homeowner reported a front door was broken and found a man sleeping on her couch. Police woke, arrested and transported a 22-year-old New Ulm man to the Brown County Evaluation Center. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of first-degree criminal damage to property charges.

• Stopped a vehicle for going the wrong way in a one-way alley at 1:07 a.m. Saturday between Broadway and 1st Street S. A 24-year-old New Ulm man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail after impairment signs were detected. The man was cited for fourth-degree DWI. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Stopped a vehicle at 2:03 a.m. Saturday at State St. and 11th St. S. involving a 36-year-old New Ulm woman known to not possess a valid driver’s license. She was cited for driving after revocation. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Took a report at 1:45 p.m. Saturday of a 41-year-old New Ulm man switching price stickers and scanning them at the Walmart self-checkout. The total theft was reported to be $282.46. The man was cited for misdemeanor theft. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
