New Ulm Police

• Received a call from a local trucking firm at 11:57 a.m. Thursday about a unknown suspect not employed with the firm using its company name and DOT information to pick up semi loads of merchandise including a load in California. The trucking firm was advised to contact California authorities. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a report of a fight that just happened at a company on the 2100 block, N. Broadway at 11:24 a.m. Thursday. A 28-year-old New Ulm male employee took offense to his property being disturbed by a 65-year-old Winthrop man. The 28-year-old man shoved the 65-year-old man, causing him to fall to the ground. The older man was transported to New Ulm Medical Center for undisclosed injuries. A report will be sent to the appropriate prosecuting attorney after medical results are learned.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on TH 60, Rosendale Township, Watonwan County at 8:41 p.m. Feb. 29. A 2023 Peterbilt semi driven by Corey Lee Stewart, 39, Brownsdale, was westbound on Highway 60 when it collided with a 2018 Freightliner semi driven by Iryna Kozachuk, 50, Girard, Ohio who was crossing Highway 60. Stewart was transported to St. James Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Kozachuk was not injured. Both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office. St. James Fire and Madelia Police assisted.
