New Ulm Police

• Received a scam/fraud report Friday from 33-year-old St. Paul man who tried to cash a $3,670 check at Midwest Bank written to him from a fraudulent account on Oct. 26, 2023. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for charges.

• A 77-year-old New Ulm reported Friday he was scammed out of $3,066.72 from a check sent to him that bounced, while trying to sell a floor scraper on Craig’s List. A report was sent to an investigator.

• A 48-year-old New Ulm man said he was scammed out of $3,000 by a female after he sent nude photos to a Sioux City, Iowa address. The man said he sent Apple gift cards in the mail to the female on Nov. 13, 2023. The report is under investigation.
