New Ulm Police

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries in snowy conditions at 1:04 p.m. Jan. 4 at 16th Street N. and Payne. Emily Fromm, 39, New Ulm, was driving a 2003 SUV westbound on 16th North, was unable to stop in time and rear-ended Maddox Larson, 16, New Ulm, who was driving a 2004 SUV. There was front-end damage to the 2003 SUV and rear-end damage to the 2004 SUV. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Responded to a disturbance at 429 N. Highland at 8:08 p.m. Jan. 3. A 37-year-old New Ulm man and 32-year-old New Ulm woman were both cited for 5th-degree assault. They did not seek medical attention. Nobody was hurt.

• Responded to a disturbance at 613 6th St. N. at 10:43 p.m. Jan. 3 involving a 37-year-old New Ulm woman and 67-year-old New Ulm woman. The 37-year-old woman had a probation arrest and detain order and was arrested and taken to detox. A report was sent to Brown County Probation.

• Stopped a vehicle at 517 State St. S. at 12:31 a.m. Jan. 4. A 47-year-old New Ulm man was arrested on a Brown County arrest and detain order and taken to jail. A report was sent to Brown County Probation.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on snow and ice on U.S. Highway 212 and Prior Street, Stewart, McLeod County at 3:27 p.m. Jan. 3. Drew M. Lange, 32, Stewart was driving a 2019 Lincoln MKZ westbound, slowed to turn north on Prior Street when he was rear-ended by Breen F. Sundlin, 36, Cosmos, who was driving a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on Highway 212. Lange and passengers Elizabeth J. Lange, 31, Stewart and Marchal W. Lange, Stewart, were transported to a Glencoe hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Everyone wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved.
