Redwood County Sheriff

•A 2013 Ford Explorer driven by Jason Rothmeier, 42, slid off CSAH 13 at 6:36 a.m. Thursday. The accident occurred south of 180th Street, 5 miles North of Springfield. Rothmeier was headed south on CSAH 13 when he lost control of the vehicle on the slushy roadway and entered the west ditch striking a mailbox. No injuries were reported.

•Two vehicles traveling together north on CSAH 13 lost control on a patch of ice/slush at 7:48 a.m. Thursday. The first vehicle was a 2006 Accura TSX, driven by Jill MIchele Geldaker, 39, of Redwood Falls and the second vehicle was a 2009 Chevy Cobalt LS, driven by Madeline Elaine Frank, 24, of Revere.

The vehicles crossed into the west side ditch coming to rest facing south bound. The Chevy sustained damage to the passanger side front fender and door after colliding with the Accura which had already come to rest int he same location. The Accura sustained damage to the front end, front fender and driver’s door when the two vehicles came to rest in the same location in the west ditch.
