NEW ULM — The New Ulm Park and Recreation Commission received updates Monday on the city’s master plan for parks and recreation, progress on the Hermann Monument restoration, and several upcoming projects and events. Park and Rec Director Joey Schugel presented the master plan, a 15-year roadmap for guiding improvements across the city’s parks and recreational facilities while responding to changing community demographics and recreation trends. NEW ULM – The bail for Randy Thomas Zimmerman was set at $5 million with conditions and $10 million without conditions during a remote hearing held in Brown County Court on Wednesday. Zimmerman stands charged with the second-degree murder of Justin Reinarts and Tabitha Trescott on Sunday, Nov. 2. The charges carry a maximum of 40 years in prison if convicted.
