NEW ULM — The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber recently visited Martin Luther College to welcome Greta Fennell, the college’s new Director of Marketing and Communications.
Fennell is about one month into the role, which is a new position for MLC, and she is excited she to be part of the campus community. Originally from the Le Sueur/Henderson area, Fennell grew up along the Minnesota River Valley and now lives in St. Peter with her husband and four children, ranging in age from 6 to 14. She joined the military at age 18, where she worked in communications and broadcast journalism. That experience sparked a passion for communications that led her to roles in higher education, nonprofit work, and veteran-focused communications throughout southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities.
Fennell said this role feels like the right fit at the right time. Around the same time she joined MLC, the college also began a rebranding effort, introducing a more modern logo while staying rooted in its long-standing mission.
She expressed appreciation for the welcoming team at Martin Luther College and is looking forward to helping tell the story of the campus and its impact.
