Parks and Rec

• The indoor pool at the Park and Recreation Center will be shut down Monday August 26 through Labor Day, September 2 for annual maintenance.

• The last Community Concert at German Park of the season is August 29 with a performance by KC & Dad Ness. Concerts are presented by the New Ulm Park and Rec Department and KNUJ Radio.

•North Park Splash Pad open daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day, September 2

•Rec Center Labor Day Weekend Hours are 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday August 31 and closed all day Sunday and Monday, Sept. 1 and 2.

•Labor Day Weekend Skating at the Civic Center available Saturday August 31; Open Skate 10 a.m.-12 noon. General Open Hockey 12:30-2:30 p.m. Admission $5. Skate Rentals $3.

•Fall Program Registration is open for programs including swimming lessons (Starting in September) as well as youth football, volleyball, tennis (starts in November), racquetball league, adult pottery and more! Registration available online at newulmmn.

•Fall Garage Sale will be held in the Civic Center on Saturday, Sept. 28. Anyone interested in being a vendor at the sale, register in person at the Rec Center.

•Open Volleyball at the Rec Center now through August during all open gym hours. Admission or membership required.

•Skating at the Civic Center open skate: Sundays 1:15-2:45 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

•Open Figure Skating available Mondays 1:15-2:30 p.m.

•Open Hockey at the Civic Center General Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., PW/younger Wednesdays 4-5:30 p.m. and Bant/older Sundays thru August 6:30-7:45 p.m.

•Tot Swim will start September 4 and run Wednesdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Zero depth area only and children must be within arms reach of an adult. Admission is $3 per child. 12-Punch card available for $27.

•Swim club will run Sept.r 10 through October 3 from 3:30-4:30 at the Rec Center. This is an opportunity to refine swimming strokes, build muscle, strength and improve endurance. Register online at newulmmn.gov
