Virtual show at The Grand

NEW ULM — The Grand Center for Arts & Culture is launching live virtual performances starting this week, Thursday, May 22, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Featured this week will be Adam Moe from the band Pushing Chain on location in Duluth with his show “Adam Moe (virtually) Live at The Grand.”

The Grand will be hosting “Virtually Live at The Grand” every Friday night starting May 29 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will be showcasing different artists.

Virtual performances will be streamed from The Grand’s YouTube channel – The Grand Center for Arts and Culture and then shared to The Grand’s Facebook page for later viewing.

Senior Cruise on May 28

NEW ULM — In an effort to help honor New Ulm’s graduating class from all public/private schools in New Ulm, the Lamplighter restaurant and the Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a Senior Cruise. Seniors will be able to show off their decorating talents, win prizes and enjoy some spotlight in downtown New Ulm.

The cruise will be held May 28 at 6 p.m. It will start at the Lamplighter parking lot, and proceed down Minnesota street to 1st South St.

All business are encouraged to decorate their windows. Seniors are asked to sign up to participate. Business are also being asked for donations for top prizes for “Best Decorated Truck” or “Best Hairstyle”

If interested please fill out the Senior Cruise 2020 form. For businesses we ask that you fill out this donation form, all donations must be dropped off at the Chamber office on May 27 at 5 p.m.
