New Release Movie at Library

NEW ULM – The New Ulm Public Library will show a newly released DVD on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. This movie is rated PG-13 and runs 114 minutes. Popcorn will be served at this free event, which is sponsored by the Optimist Club of New Ulm. For more information, call the library at 507-359-8331.

Library to offer pumpkin decorating

NEW ULM — New Ulm Public Library invites families to come decorate a pumpkin to take home on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. One pumpkin per child will be provided, thanks to a generous donation from Hy-Vee. Deer Gun Sight-In Sunday

NEW ULM — The Izaak Walton League will host at Deer Gun Sight-In on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the league’s gun range.

The event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. and is open to the public. The cost is $5 per gun.

The range is located south of New Ulm on Co. Rd. 13 (Center Street). Turn right on Co. Rd. 25. After 2 miles turn right on 10th avenue, then left on 215th St.

Erin Hart to lead book discussion at library

NEW ULM New Ulm Public Library and CASTLE will welcome author Erin Hart to the library on Friday, October 19 at 1:30 p.m. Hart will discuss her second book in the Nora Gavin and Cormac Maguire series, “Lake of Sorrows,” which is set in Ireland and weaves together forensics, history, archaeology, and suspense.
