Lafayette Lions support Arbor Day
Submitted photo
Arbor Day was celebrated Friday, April 29 at Lafayette Charter School. Fourteen LCS students became members of Fourth Grade Foresters and received evergreen trees to take home to plant and care for. Teachers also received trees this year. The trees were sponsored by the Lafayette Area Lions Club and presented through the Fourth Grade Foresters program. This is the fourth year that the Lafayette Lions have sponsored the program. The club presented trees to all fourth grade and several older students who had not yet received a tree.
