DISORDERLY CONDUCT
• Natalie Nicole Cantu. St. James. $535. 90 days local confinement stayed for two years supervised probation. Restitution left open for 30 days from Sept. 2, 2025. Complete mental health evaluation, follow all recommendations. Misdemeanor.
DRIVING WITHOUT IGNITION INTERLOCK
• Cody John Reinhart. New Ulm. $485. 90 days local confinement stayed for one year unsupervised probation. Five days sentence to service for six mo. Misdemeanor.
Sibley County District Court
• Stephanie Marie Hewlett, 52, Spearfish, S.D. plead guilty to fourth-degree DWI Sept. 9. She was sentenced to 90 days in the Sibley County Jail, stayed execution of that sentence and placed on up to one year supervised probation with conditions. She was fined $785, ordered to attend a Victim Impact Panel, complete 40 hours of sentence to service within six months.
• Ryan Ray Forsberg, 42, New Auburn was ordered to be held without bail Sept. 12 after he was arrested on allegations he violated probation terms for felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. A hearing was set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 18.
• Angela Marie Peterson, 57, New Ulm, admitted to violating probation terms for on underlying offense of felony theft Sept. 9. A stay of adjudication was vacated. She was convicted, discharged from probation and a civil judgement in the victim’s favor was made in the amount of $2,850.
• Kristopher James Hipp, 37, Henderson, plead guilty to a charge alleging first-degree DWI Sept. 9. A sentence of 42 mo. Imprisonment was stayed for up to five years supervised probation. Conditions include 28 days in the Sibley County Jail, complete a comprehensive assessment, attend a Victim Impact Panel, successfully complete Le Sueur Sibley Treatment Court and pay $135.
• Unconditional bail was set at $300,000 cash or bond for Michael Lee Doering, 71, Winthrop on charges alleging 12 counts of possession of pornographic works involving minors. He could be released on his own recognizance subject to conditions. A hearing was set for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 6.
• Samantha Jo Kaase, 36, Hastings plead guilty to felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance Sept. 9. Adjudication was stayed on the drug offense. She was convicted of the DWI offense and sentenced to 44 days in the Sibley County Jail, 46 days electronic home monitoring with electronic alcohol monitoring, attend a Victim Impact Panel, pay $450 within 90 days.
