Christmas luminaries shine bright at Schell’s

Schell’s mansion and gardens were lit up the old fashion way. Hundreds of luminary candles were arranged along the walking paths with a few traditional electrical lights on the mansion at the center. Dozens visited the luminary display on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

NEW ULM – The luminaries lights at Schell’s returned for Christmas this year.

Every year, Schell’s decorates the brewery grounds with luminary candles for the holiday season. Typically, the luminaries are arranged along the walking paths through the garden and near Schell’s mansion.

In 2023, the luminary display was delayed until New Year’s Eve due to unseasonable warm weather on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. A downpour forced the brewery to postpone the luminaries until New Year’s Eve.

This year the weather the cooperated. Though temperatures were above average for Christmas Eve, the rains held off and the luminaries were able to shine bright.
