NEW ULM – Tuesday was the first official day of spring, and the farm came to downtown Tuesday. The Farm City Hub Club Ag Day Parade traveled down Minnesota Street. Several New Ulm FFA members led the parade and were followed by Brown County and Nicollet County Dairy Ambassadors and a convoy of a dozen tractors.

This year’s parade featured Duane Laffrenzen as the Grand Marshal. Laffrezen was the 2024 Service to Ag Award Winner. This is the first time the Ag Day parade included the Service to Ag Award winner.

The parade also celebrated the 50th anniversary of Hub Club. The Hub Club will hold a special anniversary party Friday, Sept. 13 at the Royal Oak Center.
