Winthrop Farm City Fun Fest continues through Sunday

WINTHROP — The Winthrop Farm City Fun Fest continues Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9.

The Great Parade starts at 2 p.m. Sunday. A car show for street rods, special interest, custom and muscle cars is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. There is no registration or admission fee. Coolers are not allowed. The first 75 car show entrants will receive t-shirts. Schell’s Hobo Band performs from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

A double-elimination softball tournament continues Saturday and Sunday. A kids t-ball game begins at 11 a.m. Saturday.

A sheep-head tournament with $5 entry fee and cash prizes begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.

A kids midway including an obstacle course, bounce house and waterslide will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. A kids pedal pull beings at 11 a.m. Saturday. Sign up by 10:30 a.m. An FFA petting zoo is set for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

A bike rodeo with children’s bike giveaway begins at 12:30 p.m. and continues to 2 p.m. on the tennis court. A kid’s water-fight begins at 2:30 p.m. A canvas painting class for kids goes from 3-4 p.m. An adult painting class takes place from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The Red Dirt Road band will perform from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Tanker Bay Sports Bar.

An ecumenical service begins at 8 a.m. Sunday in the big tent.

A chicken barbecue begins at 3 p.m. A family pond ball kickball game with water is set for 5-7 p.m. by the volleyball courts.

The Mages Family Band will perform from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the big tent.

Bi-County baseball begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the north field.
