New Ulm Police

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash without injuries on the 500 block, 4th St. S. alley at 1:29 p.m. June 21. Shane M. Clark, 58, was driving a 2024 Freightliner semi and trailer that was routed off Broadway to a residential detour due to a crash obstructing traffic on Broadway. The semi driver hit a low-hanging cable that crossed 4th St. S. from north to south in the alley. The cable was ripped down from utility poles. There was no truck or trailer damage.

• Arrested a 36-year-old New Ulm man for a probation violation at 3:30 p.m., June 21. After being handcuffed, the man ran out of the Brown County Probation Office and fled on foot. Police lost contact with the man near the New Ulm Public Library. An officer had a minor injury in the foot pursuit. A report with pending charges of escape from custody, fleeing a peace officer on foot, impeding traffic and theft was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 7:56 p.m. on TH 5 and 411th Avenue, Arlington Township, Sibley County. Whitney M. Osborne-Dean, 29, Arlington, was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 northbound on CR 9, stopped at a stop sign at TH 5. She then proceeded north and collided with a 2013 Ford Fusion driven by Courtney E. Meyer, 28, Gaylord, who was westbound. Osborne-Dean was transported to an Arlington hospital and Meyer was transported to Ridgeview Hospital, Waconia. Both drivers had non-life threatening injuries. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Arlington Police, Fire and Ambulance assisted.
