Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School seniors Isaiah Carlovsky (left) and Isaiah Rogotzke were named as finalists in the National Merit Scholarship competition. Nationwide, the National Merit Scholarship Competition selected 16,000 semifinalists nationwide. From that pool, students’ academic merits, scholarship application, and essay were reviewed to determine if they move on to the Finalist round. The National Merit Scholarship Coorporation will begin notifying the Finalists if they are named as one of the Merit Scholarship winners in April, May, June, and July.
