The New Ulm Pollinator Park is hosting a community event the next two Saturdays.

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Pollinator Park, 2250 North Broadway, is holding community events on Saturday Oct. 16 and Saturday October 23, from 10 a.m. to noon

At 10 a.m., demonstrations, with a Q&A session will be given by Joe Gartner on how to prepare your prairie site for 2022 (big or small). Demonstrations include seed collecting and germination methods, site prep, My Little Prairie 6′ X 6′, Prairie in a Pot and the larger pollinator garden.

At 11 a.m. a volunteer work project will be held at the Pollinator Park for those interested. We will be removing weedy/woody vegetation (small trees and grape vines). Bring gloves. Youth project groups or service projects welcome.
