LAFAYETTE — Pastor Heidi Hagstrom of the Fields of Grace Lutheran Parish is retiring due to a cancer diagnosis.

Pastor Heidi’s retirement will be recognized at a community farewell Sunday, October 24 at the Lafayette Charter School

The day’s events will include a brief ecumenical worship service, a waffle brunch, a short program, and a raffle drawing.

The short worship service–consisting of song, prayer, and a brief message–will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the school gym.

The Dad’s Belgian Waffle breakfast will be served from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., also in the gym. A free will offering will be accepted, with proceeds going to Pastor Heidi.

The Lafayette Area Lions Club is holding a cash raffle to assist with Pastor Heidi’s medical and living expenses. Tickets are available at Citizens Bank Minnesota in Lafayette, from Fields of Grace members, or from Sandy Hartley at 507-276-4692. The drawing for $500 and $250 prizes will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the event.
