Sanborn woman dies in crash near Willmar
PENNOCK — An 83-year-old Sanborn woman died in a two-vehicle crash in Pennock, near Willmar, Thursday morning.
Delores M. Berg was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another vehicle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Five other people were transported to Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar, after the crash.
Frederick H. Berg, 84, Sanborn was driving a 2020 Honda Odyssey northbound on 135th St. N.W. when he collided with a westbound 2007 Kia Spectra driven by Rae Ann L. Baker, 22, Redwood Falls. Berg and two passengers in his vehicle, Irene L. Mathiowetz, 83, Sleepy Eye; and Robert W. Mathiowetz, 88, Sleepy Eye; plus Baker and a passenger in her vehicle, Kyri E. Cox, 17, Redwood Falls, were transported to Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar. The Minnesota Department of Transportation, Kandiyohi and Swift County Sheriff’s Offices, Pennock Fire/Rescue, Kerkhoven Fire Dept., Raymond Ambulance, CentraCare and LifeLink assisted.
