Inspire Wedding Center taking shape

NEW ULM — Caution tape goes up on the corner of North 2nd Street and Minnesota as work continues at the former Ben Franklin building at 126 N. Minnesota Street.
The building is being remodeled to be the home of the Inspire Wedding Event Center, restaurant and apartment building.
Four apartments will be located in a vertical addition constructed on the building and two units on the second floor and two unites on the third floor.
A restaurant will also be located on the top floor with a rooftop patio for additional seating. The main floor will be used for the wedding venue business. The plan it to have enough of the building ready to host a wedding in October.
Construction and remodeling has started on the roof section of the building. The caution tape was placed on the corner as a safety precaution as work is done of the roof.
