Nicollet Co. board to consider separation agreement with former HR director

ST. PETER — The Nicollet County Board of Commissioners will consider a motion to approve a separation agreement the county’s former human resource director/assistant county administrator Jamie Haefner on Tuesday, April 13.

On April 2, commissioners accepted Haefner’s resignation with discussion and accepted a separation agreement with county administrator Ryan Krosch, who resigned effective March 23.

According to the agreement, the resignation is not considered an admission of wrongdoing on the part of Krosch or the County or any of its employees, officials, or agents. The reason for the agreement was to resolve the employment relationship quickly and amicably.

Commissioners unanimously approved appointing Nicollet County Property Services Director Mandy Landkamer as interim county administrator until a longer-term county administrator is found.

Landkamer was also appointed to fill vacant positions on various board committees that were previously held by the county administrator Krosch and human resources director Haefner.

In addition, Nicollet County Public Services Manager Jaci Kopet was appointed county board clerk. The county personnel committee was authorized to make hiring and salary offers after consulting with department heads, pending the hire of a human resources director.

The Nicollet County Drainage Authoring meeting is scheduled to be called to order at 9:20 a.m. April 13.

The public can participate in the county board meeting by joining the Zoom meeting with meeting ID 860 0227 9795; passcode 105326.
