NEW ULM — Join State Street Theater for the production of “Charlotte’s Web,” with everyone’s favorite characters, Fern, Wilbur, and Charlotte on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m., Saturday, November 21, at 2 p.m, and Sunday, November 22, at 2 p.m.

The Children’s Literature Association named this “best American children’s book of the past two hundred years.” Determined to save Wilbur the Pig, Charlotte the Spider begins her campaign with the “miracle” of her web in which she writes, “Some pig.” It’s the beginning of a victorious campaign, which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful play about friendship.

The performance will take place at State Street Theater Co., 1 North State Street, New Ulm. The handicap entrance is through the backstage door in the parking lot off of Washington Street.

Advance tickets are available at $10 for adults and $5 for students and available at the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce, Hy-Vee, and online at statestreetNEWULM.org. Limited seats are available so make sure to get your ticket early. If the play is not sold out, tickets will be available at the door at $15 for adults and $10 for students.

State Street Theater has adopted protocols that address social distancing and other related procedures for rehearsals and productions for audiences and actors alike. The safety protocols are available online to read at www.statestreetNEWULM.org. For more information, contact us at statestreettheater@gmail.com or 507-359-9990.

Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois. The production is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. This performance is also made possible by a grant from the New Ulm Area Foundation.
