NEW ULM — Rooms & Rest Furniture and Mattress, a Southern Minnesota furniture retailer with 3 locations, announced Thursday that they will launch a fundraiser to help the local communities raise money to help fight hunger. Rooms &Rest will match up to $15,000 in donations through their “You Give. We Give.” Gofundme page. The funds will be equally distributed to three local food shelves: Echo Food Shelf Mankato, The Salvation Army Austin, and the New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf.

Rooms & Rest says the goal is to raise $30,000 in 30 days to help feed the people in the local communities that are in need and raise awareness of the growing hunger challenges.
