Monarch butterflies cling to elm tree branches near the Fort Ridgely State Park amphitheater Thursday. State park personnel reported seeing lots of butterflies on the Upper Prairie, Valley and Hilltop Trails in the park in recent days. Since a Nicollet County Road 21 bridge is under construction, the park must be accessed from the north. Follow the detour signs on State Highway 4.
