Dan was born on November 7, 1977, to Charles and LaDonna Mikkelson. He grew up in Madelia, Minnesota, and graduated from Madelia High School in 1997.

In 2010, Dan met the love of his life, Diane Guggisberg. The couple married on July 7, 2012, and made their home in New Ulm, Minnesota, where they built a life together and raised their three beautiful children: Alexander (14), Tyler (13), and Lauryn (13).

Dan dedicated more than 23 years of service to Kraft, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. Outside of work, he was an avid sports enthusiast with a special passion for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He loved traveling and cherished the time spent making memories with his wife and children on family vacations.

Dan will be dearly remembered for his love of family, his dedication to those he cared about, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. His kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and LaDonna Mikkelson; his grandparents, Herman and Hertha Zimmerman and Melvin and Nina Mikkelson; his cousin Cory James; and Julie and Tom Goblirsch.

His memory will live in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting his family.
