Wanda Gag House is open

NEW ULM — The unique, historic Wanda Gag House will be open for tours on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or weekdays by appointment now through Oct. 11. Admission is $5.

The restored 1893 Queen Anne house was built by New Ulm artist and photographer Anton Gag for his family. It is the childhood home of world-famous artist and children’s author Wanda Gag. Exhibits include original art, lithographs, illustrations, photographs, memorabilia, and books by Wanda and her family. A gift shop is available.

Tours should be scheduled in advance by calling 507-359-2632 or email wandagaghouse@gmail.com. Tours will be limited to groups of four or less. All visitors are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. The house is air-conditioned. Restrooms will not be available.
