Two more confirmed COVID-19 cases in Brown County

BROWN COUNTY — Brown County Public Health reported two new laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases Thursday.

Both cases are individuals in their 20s. No further information on the two new cases was made public. The two additional cases brings the total number of confirmed cases in Brown County to 22.

Brown County Public Health Director Karen Moritz said the ages of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Brown County include two people under age 13, four teenagers, five people in their 20s, two in their 30s, one in their 40s, three in their 50s, two in their 60s, two in their 80s and one in their 90s.

The number of active cases/in isolation climbed from one to five Thursday. That number was reflects more accurate information after case investigations are completed, according to Thursday’s situation update.

The number of Brown County COVID-19 related deaths remains at two.

The data is a snapshot in time and reflects the totals provided to local public health from the Minnesota Department of Health as of 3 p.m. on the prior day.

Due to protected health information, local public health cannot share information that would potentially identify an individual.

Statewide, Minnesota has 1,082 ICU beds in use. Statewide hospital surge capacity is 2,199 ICU beds. There are 547 ventilators in use statewide. Statewide capacity is 3,918.
