Journal office closed to public but paper publishing

NEW ULM — In cooperation with the State of Minnesota’s stay-at-home order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, The Journal is closing its business office at 303 N. Minnesota St. to the public during the coronavirus outbreak.

The Journal will continue to publish and deliver a paper six days a week, and some Journal staff will be working from the office, but members of the public will not be allowed in the building beyond the vestibule at the front door. A table will be set up in the entryway where people can drop off information such as press releases, payments or advertising requests, and pick up copies of Journal publications, such as The Shopper.

People are encouraged to make payments for subscriptions or advertising invoices by calling with credit card information, or sending checks rather than cash payments. Subscribers are encouraged to sign up for EZ-Pay, which sets up automatic payments for subscriptions.

The Journal recommends using the U.S. Postal Service for mailing in payments or notices, or using e-mail or telephone calls to communicate with The Journal. The Journal’s office number is 507-359-2911. Individual email addresses can be found online at www.nujournal.com/contact-us/ .

The Journal appreciates the patience of its readers as we all strive to get through the coronavirus pandemic safely.
