Grand names People’s Choice winner in ArtScape Juried Art Show

NEW ULM — The 11th Annual ArtScape Juried Art Show recently closed at The Grand Center for Arts and Culture in New Ulm. THE 2019 show was one of our most diverse shows with almost 120 submissions across both the adult and student categories.

The winner of this year’s People’s Choice Award in the adult category is “Bulldog” by Brian Berle. Berle created this piece out of found metal objects. “Oculus” by Ella Forst received the most votes to win the People’s Choice Award in the student (grades 7-12) category.

1st Prize: Brian Berle, “Bulldog”

2nd Prize: Matt Johnson, “Man in a Corner”

3rd Prize: Robert Johnson, “Water Under the Bridge”

Honorable Mention: Anne Klinkner, “Annie Windhorn”

Honorable Mention: Lisa Bierer, “Tom & Flute”

Honorable Mention: Mark Berle “Migrant at Sea”

STUDENT CATEGORY

1st Prize: Maida Jaspersen, “IKUKO”

Honorable Mention: Ella Forst, “9”

Honorable Mention: Abigail Nelson, “Self Portrait”
