NICOLLET — A 12-year-old New Ulm youth died in a single-vehicle snowmobile crash Saturday afternoon in a field next to the Nicollet Public School.

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at 4:43 p.m. Saturday. Bryson A. Palmquist, 12, of New Ulm, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting agencies included the Nicollet Fire Department, Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol, Mayo Clinic Ambulance and Mayo Three Air Ambulance.
