Trick or Treating came early as Cash Wise hosted its annual Halloween celebration, Friday. Area youth were invited to trick or treat inside the store. The staff, dressed in full costumes, gave out treats to all the little witches and monsters visiting the store.

High water on the Minnesota River near Minnecon Park make picnic tables unusable Friday. Construction work on the Minnesota River bridge Gateway New Ulm Project continues on top of the bridge. Contracting partners work to complete the bridge, roadway surfaces leading to the bridge and final turf establishment. The original project completion date was June 2020. The river was observed at 797.56 feet at 11:45 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
