MVL senior college, other awards total $1.6 million-plus

NEW ULM — Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School (MVLHS) graduating seniors received more than $1.609 million in college scholarships and grants.

In an awards assembly Wednesday, May 15, 36 seniors, comprising 68 percent of this year’s graduating class, were recognized for receiving scholarships and grants from colleges and universities throughout the upper Midwest and from local organizations.

The students are: Beth Albrecht; Greta Bloedel; Sara Bode; Stephanie Dalueg; Stephanie Dose; Brianna Fenske; Lexi Fischer; Macy Freyholtz; Mackenzie Helget; Dylan Holtmeier; Elizabeth Kassuelke; Jake Kettner; Benjamin Kramer; Adam Lowrey; Elizabeth Marzinske; Hannah Marzinske; Marshall Mohror; Mizha Overn; Lauren Paulsen; Grace Peterson; Nicole Porter; Robert Rauh; Payton Richtsmeier; Abby Riesgraf; Micah Roux; Rachel Ruschmeyer; Sonja Rygh; Connor Schaper; Ethan Schoof; Franklin Selvey; Johanna Stelljes; Nicole Tessmer; Elizabeth Trebelhorn; Avery Weisensel; Joseph Wessel; and Daria Witte.

MVLHS will conduct its 2019 graduation service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, in the school gymnasium. Members of the public are welcome and invited to attend.
