Clements man arrested after 4-hour standoff

CLEMENTS — A 37-year-old Clements man was arrested on March 7 after a four-hour standoff with the Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville drug task force.

The man, who has not yet been charged, barricaded himself inside his residence as the BLTT Emergency Response Unit approached his house to execute a search warrant and arrest him.

After a four-hour standoff and negotiation, the man was taken into custody without incident, according to a BLRR press release.

In a search of the house, BLRR agents found several firearms and ammunition. Charges are being referred to the Redwood County Attorney’s office.
