NEW ULM — New Ulm Police and the City of New Ulm Street Department rescued a young cat from a storm drain on South Garden Street near the junior high football field Tuesday afternoon.

The owners of the cat took it home at about 2:30 p.m. after city employees removed a storm drain cover to free the cat that appeared to be unharmed.
