DFL congressional candidate to hold healthcare tour

N. MANKATO — Dan Feehan, the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District, has announced a “Southern Minnesota Healthcare Tour” week focused on highlighting the importance of affordable, accessible, and high-quality health insurance for every southern Minnesotan.

“Healthcare must be affordable, accessible, and high-quality for everyone,” said Feehan. “We are blessed with some of the world’s best doctors, nurses, and researchers all across southern Minnesota, but we face major challenges in diminishing access for patients, physician and nurse shortages in our rural communities, and prohibitively high healthcare costs. It is critical that Congress address these problems, free from corporate special interests like the health insurance companies or the pharmaceutical lobby. That’s just part of the reason why I am not taking corporate PAC money and instead talking directly with southern Minnesotans about how we create a healthcare system that works for everyone.”

Feehan will be spending the week touring healthcare facilities and hearing from farmers, students, and working families all across the district.
