COURTLAND — Highway 68 west of Blue Earth County Road 45 near Courtland (approximately 5 miles southeast of New Ulm) is open. The road was closed on July 1 due to a mudslide.

Minnesota Department of Transportation crews have cleared significant mud, fallen trees and debris from the road and stabilized the area.

Recent rainfall and high river water levels in the area can cause mudslides without warning. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is closely monitoring area roads.
