Red Kettle campaign seeks bell ringers

NEW ULM — The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign of Brown County is ready to launch its 2017 bell ringing season.

Money raised in Brown County through the Red Kettle Campaign stays in Brown County. It assists individuals and families with basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, transportation, and medication during times of crisis. Additionally, funds from the Red Kettle Campaign are used to provide camp opportunities and school supplies to children in need who reside in Brown county.

People can help by volunteering to ring the bell this holiday season. Short two-hour shifts are open at several locations. Ringing the bell is a great way to help support those in the local area.

Volunteers are asked to do 1 to 2 hour shifts at Hy-Vee, Cash Wise, Runnings and Walmart. Silent or Quiet bells are available.

Countertop kettles will also be placed at Perkins and Citizens Bank Minnesota.

The bell-ringing season starts on Nov. 24 and goes to Dec. 23.

Please call Helen at 507-154-8768 if you would like to volunteer.
