NUACS nominates individuals for HOF

NEW ULM — New Ulm Area Catholic Schools (NUACS) announced the 2017 inductees to its Hall of Fame.

They are John Vetter (’66), distinguished achievement; Msgr. John Richter, his sister Pat O’Connor and niece Georgine Gansen, distinguished service; Elizabeth Kelly (’85) humanitarian; and Kirsten Prunty (’07), distinguished athletics.

Each year, NUACS recognizes individuals in the four separate categories.

The distinguished achievement award is presented to a graduate who has honored NUACS through outstanding professional achievement.

The distinguished service award is presented to individuals who have strengthened the programs at NUACS, their parish and the community through dedicated service.

The humanitarian award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional personal courage and whose faith and actions have served as an inspiration to others.

The distinguished athletics award is presented to individuals in recognition of their athletic accomplishments while at Cathedral High School.

The NUACS Hall of Fame brunch will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. at the Best Western Plus in New Ulm. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advance (no later than Sept. 11) by contacting Brent Boston at brent.boston@nuacs.com or 507-354-4311.
