NEW ULM — The New Ulm Area Foundation announces that Bill Otis was recently appointed to serve on its Advisory Board.

“Bill’s business, organizational and community history make him a great addition to our Board” said President Julie Baumgartner. Otis will also serve on the Grants Committee and the Community Outreach planning committee.

Otis is President and CEO of NUTelecom. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Winona State University. Otis is currently a Board member for New Ulm Telecom, Minnesota Telecom Alliance, Alliance Bank, Broadband Visions, Independent Emergency Services, Southern Minnesota Broadband and FiberComm.

Since moving to New Ulm in 1979 he has been active in many community organizations including United Way, New Ulm Chamber and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoys the outdoors and lives in rural New Ulm with his wife Lori and daughter Taylor.

The New Ulm Area Foundation has served the New Ulm Community for 30 years, giving grants in the areas of arts, education, economic development and historic preservation. newulmareafoundation.org.
