BROWN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC ACCURACY TEST

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public accuracy test of the electronic voting equipment to be used in the November 3, 2020 General Election for counting all ballots will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 3 p.m. in the Brown County Law Enforcement Center Training Room, 15 South Washington Street, New Ulm, MN 56073. the public is invited to attend.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

WHEREAS, Rodney and Bonnie Roebbeke have filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a variance from the City Code to allow a 13′ front yard setback for purpose of constructing a 20′ x 26′ attached garage on the property legally described as Lot 3, Block 1, Hauenstein Addition. The street address is 1213 Hauenstein Drive. The required side yard setback is 30′; and

WHEREAS, Mike Kral, on behalf of M & D Properties, LLC, has filed an application for variances from the front, rear, side, lot area, lot coverage, and lot frontage requirements of the City Code for the proposed Lots 1-15, Block 1, M & D Addition to allow attached storage condominiums on property legally described as Lots 8 through 13, including vacated German Street, Block 44 North of Center Street. The street address is 323 19th North Street.

WHEREAS, Bev Luneburg, General Manager of Luneburg Enterprises, LLC, has filed a petition with the City of New Ulm to rezone from R-3 (Multiple Family Residence District) to I-2 (General Industrial District) the property legally described as Lots 8 through 14, Block 42 South of Center Street. The street address of this property is 1601-1627 South German Street.

WHEREAS, Tony Ruch, on behalf of the New Ulm Youth Wrestling Association and Bev Luneberg, General Manager of Luneberg Enterprises LLC, have filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Conditional Use Permit. To allow a local youth wrestling organization to occupy and use a new building for youth wrestling activities on the property legally described as Lots 11 through 14, Block 42 South of Center Street. The street address of the property is 1601-1615 South German Street.

WHEREAS, Jill Peterson has filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow the operation of a hair salon as a home occupation on the property legally described as Lot 6, Block 2, Sell’s Addition. The street address of the property is 29 Circuit Drive. The property is zoned R-1 (Single Family Residence District).

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that these matters be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, October, 29, 2020 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider these matters. The public and all interested parties are hereby officially notified of said hearings. Those attending the meeting must adhere to social distancing guidelines.
