WHEREAS, Harold Enamorado, owner of Cala Design, as the applicant, and Chris Dalton, City Manager of the City of New Ulm, Minnesota, as the owner, have filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow the operation of a portable, outdoor sawmill in an R-A (Agricultural Residence) zoning district on the property located at 1200 Water Street and legally described as the Southwesterly 150.00 feet of Outlot 16 and an adjoining portion of vacated Water Street; and

WHEREAS, Paula Williamson has filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Variance from the City Code to allow a 6′ side yard setback in order to construct an attached garage on the property located at 118 North Highland Avenue and legally described as Lot 28, Highland Subdivision. The required side yard setback is 10′; and

WHEREAS, Andrew and Nancy Lilleodden, on behalf of Lilleodden Business Properties, LLC, have filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Variance from the City Code to allow an additional 44 square feet of signage on the property at 1301-1305 South Broadway and legally described as Lots 13 and 14, Block 79 South of Center Street. The permitted amount of sign space for this property is 200 square feet; and

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that this matter be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider these matters. The public and all interested parties are hereby notified of said hearings. Those attending the meeting must adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we encourage the submittal of written comments instead of attendance at the meeting.
