• Gross misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor theft counts were filed Nov. 15, 2021 against Logan K. Haas, 214 Balcerzak Dr., Mankato. According to court documents, New Ulm Police Officer Andrew Achman took a theft report from O’Reilly Auto Parts, New Ulm. An O’Reilly loss prevention employee and New Ulm manager said Haas was suspected of stealing two batteries with a total value of $572.79 including sales tax and provided a receipt. Haas admitted to the theft. The batteries were located in Haas’ pickup truck. A first court appearance was set for for 8:30 a.m. Dec. 14, 2021
