• Dominick L. Ramirez, 18, Green Isle, was arrested and charged Aug. 27 with 3rd and 5th-degree sale of a controlled substance, 2nd-degree and 5th-degree controlled substance possession.

Charges are part of a three-month investigation by the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force. On Aug. 25, an investigator, Sibley County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force agents executed a search warrant at 381 Cleveland Ave., Green Isle and seized 3.4 pounds of suspected marijuana, 268 dose units of suspected LSD plus a handgun, ammunition and about $16,000 in cash.

• In July 2020, the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Public Health and Human Services investigated a fraudulent public assistance case in which Olga Colin-Franco, 57, Arlington, allegedly fraudulently obtained about $38,919 in public assistance benefits. She is accused of failing to report her husband’s employment on multiple public asstance applications filed back to 2015. She was charged with felony wrongfully obtaining public assistance and perjury, according to an Aug. 30 media release.
