Dr. Dan Groebner will present “Let’s Have a Ball” at the annual meeting of the Junior Pioneers on Friday, Oct. 21, at Turner Hall.

The program will include photographs and other material on ballrooms and dance halls of New Ulm’s past, as well as stories about their inception and eventual demise.

He will also be discussing the era of “old time” music and the bands of the New Ulm area that made their livings playing in the ballrooms and night clubs of the area.

The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., business meeting at 6 p.m. and meal followed by the featured program.

Reservations are due by Tuesday, Oct. 18. Tickets are $35 each.
