Call for auditions for ‘The Christmas Carol’
“It’s Christmas Eve 1850, and the melancholy Scrooge finds himself alone at home when he sees before him the ghost of Jacob Marley, his long-time friend, and business partner who died seven years earlier. Marley warns Scrooge that he will repent, even in death, for all the suffering he has caused others, and he has only one chance to escape his fate.”
The State Street Theater Co. is planning to bring the holiday classic “The Christmas Carol” to life. It is issuing a call for auditions of children 8 and up and adults for the play to be produced Friday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 4.
Those interested in auditioning do not need to have anything prepared. Auditions will take place at theater, located at 1 N. State Street. Entrance is door 7 located off the parking lot located on the corner of Center and Washington Street.
Dates of the audition are Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 10, at 10:00 a.m.

“The Christmas Carol” is presented by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals. The production is also made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board.
