Troop 25 organized and sent nine scouts and four scout leaders to the Boundary Waters for a five-day adventure. The group’s adventure was from Aug. 3-8. Highlights included seeing and hearing loons and eagles, bobcat sighting, swimming, discovering a waterfall during a local portage, picking raspberries and blueberries along the portages and catching and eating fish. The weather was typical, with some wind and rain but dominated by beautiful blue sky. The scouts gained experience in paddling, fire tending, fishing and scout craft.
