Historical Society hosting Tribute to Mothers luncheon
The Brown County Historical Society is hosting a Tribute to Mothers luncheon. “Tea Steeped with Totally Exquisite Aprons” will be held at noon on Thursday, May 12, at Turner Hall in New Ulm.
Learn about tea, serving tea and the aprons worn when serving tea. The program includes a display of teapots and aprons and a presentation by Yvonne Cory.
A retired educator, Cory says her sewing skills, fashion history and textile identification cultivated her interest in fiber art, which now carries over to her passion for collecting vintage aprons.
Wear an apron to this event to qualify for a door-prize drawing.
The event is open to the public, but tickets must be purchased in advance — tickets will not be available at the door.
Tickets can be purchased for $20 at the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce and at the Brown County Museum.
